Learn the Basics of Machine Sewing

Start sewing with our Fabric Gift Bag Class, a Level 1 workshop designed for anyone interested in learning to complete a simple sewing project, regardless of experience.

This 2-hour class will teach you the basics of sewing on a machine, all materials are included, and by the end of the class, you’ll take home your very own handmade fabric gift bag, perfect for the holiday season.

In this class, you will learn:

• How to thread a sewing machine

• How to wind a bobbin

• Straight and zigzag stitches

• How to create a ribbon channel

By the end of this session, you’ll have completed a fabric gift bag to take home and developed the foundational knowledge to explore more intricate sewing projects on your own.

Included in this class:

Cotton fabric, ribbon, thread, pattern and all tools.
Participants will have the option to purchase additional supplies in their preferred colors if they wish.

Beverages will be provided. Participants are welcome to bring a box lunch to enjoy during the session.
